Getting Lost at one Familiar Place , Tagaytay.

17353220_1291430684279929_200942763833077611_nWell if you’re from Cavite like us,experiencing the cool breeze from Tagaytay is just like a 30-45min drive away ( depending on the traffic ). We usually  go here for late night booze, coffee or bulalo, since it is quite near we don’t actually opt of staying here over night simply because we can just drive home. duuuh .

But this time me and the Big Bear ( boyfie ) decided to rent a condo at tagaytay to make the most of our stay here.

we found a place through AirBnb ( https://www.airbnb.com/ )we booked a studio type condo since its cheaper than booking a hotel room within the area. There’s a variety of  condo’s to choose from but since we’re following a strict budget for our Batangas trip    (will blog about that after this)  we settled on a place within that tight budget, a beautiful unit inside Cityland Tagaytay Prime Recidences.

look at him enjoying the bed right after we arrived -_- . I personally loved the back.drop within the bedroom, the room was sooo well designed and mind me if i took a hell lot of selfies given this chic wooden background.

  • THE ROOM :

The room we’ve got was a studio type condo unit complete with kitchenware, 40″  t.v, separate toilet and shower room with heater, AC , cable and (thank goodness ) WIFI , there’s a complimentary coffee, tea and bottled water free upon our arrival, shampoo and soap are all provided as well, drinks on the fridge (e. bottle of wine, 2 cans of beer, soda, chocolate drink ) are available to consume but with corresponding fee payable upon check out ( how much? that I don’t know since we bought our own ( this couple LOOOOVES the grocery store! ) The boyfie enjoyed the mini living room since he fits perfectly at the sofa bed watching his daddy channels ( e. national geographic, discovery channel and home shopping ) and I enjoyed taking selfies on the bed room ( wait did I mentioned the bed’s amazing back.drop? I did.. sorry! ) The room was very homey! everything was almost provided considering its not over priced, it is indeed a complete value for money!

  • THE VIEW:

The unit was located at the 17th floor of the bldg. , though there isn’t any lake view , the city view and lights at night fed our eyes, it was quite a beauty ! The balcony was bit small me and the Big Bear who both loves food could barely fit but t’was okay when we decided to sit on the balcony floor.( iwas lula bes! we’re both scared of heights! )

  • THE FOOD:

Well one thing about us that hasn’t change through our 5 year relationship is of course our love for FOOD!

There’s plenty of restau’s to choose from within  the vicinity of Tagaytay , since the place’s quite accessible to us we’ve tried the most of them on some occasions , our favorite Balinsasayaw ( try their Balinsasayaw rice , mapapasayaw ka bes promise! ), Giligans ( that you can find almost everywhere ) , Bag of beans , Diners, RSM , and gosh we could go on forever if i name them all, anyhoo as I’ve mentioned we’re following a limited budget so we chose quantity with quality in the cheapest possible way.

LUNCH:

Me and the Bear decided to get our groceries at Serin to buy our necessities (e. toothbrush, snacks, booze etc. ) but pardon me I’m such a lazy potato that day so I refused to cook , I convinced him with my puppy eyes for us to eat our lunch there as well , so the hunt for the perfect restau’s that fit our budget begins. Our first choice was Pepper Lunch since it is one of our faves, but we want to try something new, on our quest we found a humble place at the upper ground floor , The Chinese kitchen , I’m craving for rice and chicken so we checked their menu and babe it is within our budget so we barged in took our seat and placed our order .

Me not just the Bear loves ordering food that’s good for 3-4/pax and man we can finish it under 15min! That’s our not so hidden talent ( haha! ) , we ordered their yang chow fried rice, hainanese chicken , pork asado , fresh lumpia & cuapao (which we didn’t like, sorry), food was okay , it satisfied my kanin caraving,  but i have to be honest twas’ just so-so except for the fresh lumpia that I could eat everyday ( you have to try it I swear! ).

DINNER :

Again we’re too lazy to cook so we decided to drive around and search a place to eat dinner. I would love to eat at Balinsasayaw since that’s my favorite but the baby wants something not heavy daw. We ended up at Bulalo point ( not heavy huh ), man it was really cold that night so Bulalo was indeed the perfect choice, we got their classic Bulalo , we’re kinda fooling ourselves so we did not get a platter of rice , we got solos since we’re health conscious ( my ass ) but we ended up ordering another set of extra rice which was almost the same quantity as  the platter but with less guilt.  Perfect Dinner for me!

BREAKFAST:

Our 2nd day was spent at Calatagan Batangas and we just ordered take outs so let’s jump at our last day at the city after our check out , We had coffee at ( as usual ) Starbucks ordered brewed since its cold and we’re still sleepy asf. The weather , coffee and my favorite human made me love breakfast time 10x more!

We’re about to head home after coffee but when we checked the time , hunny its lunch time , and we cannot miss a meal ( that’s so not happening in this lifetime ) so we decided to drop by at Serin and grab our lunch.

LUNCH:

Our finances are running low but our appetite isn’t , we want to have lunch at Loumars but again our finances were running low so we decided to try the one next to it J. Rosales’s Kuya J , and baby there isn’t an ounce of regret after we’ve finished our food! We ordered Crab meat fried rice, roasted chicken and chopsuey . My tummy has never been that happy at Lunch time!

  • THE WEATHER:

During the day the weather was quite okay , sunny a bit hot yes but not your usual summer weather, you could still feel the cold breeze , but at night? Man It.Was.Cold. me and the bear loves staying at the balcony at night drinking wine while admiring the city lights so we can’t help but feel the cold wind brushing on our skin from the 17th floor , man the wind’s even colder that the room’s AC , its warmer inside the unit than outside. So if you’re planning of staying overnight like we did  make sure to bring your jammies. 🙂

We’ve stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights ( March 15-17 ) The unit was really again a value for money, you can check their availability through the AirBnb website, Ms. Jamie the host and her caretaker Ms. Dang are both accommodating, Hands up to their hospitality.

We’ll definitely come back soon!
